Welcome to UConn Waterbury's branch of WCONLINE!

UConn Waterbury Library

Please use this scheduling site to book appointments at the campus Writing Center.

If this is your first visit, register for an account (using your UConn email address) by clicking the link to the left.

If you already have an account, enter your info to the left and log into the Writing Center schedule.

Once inside, you can find an appointment using either the "calendar display" or the "appointment search" screen. Appointments are booked for 30 or 60 minutes, even if the appointment takes less time to complete. Hovering over the name of a tutor will let you know if that tutor is available for face-to-face/in-person or online appointments. You can also search for specifics using the drop-down menus at the top of the screen.

If you book an in-person/face-to-face appointment, your next step is to come to the Writing Center at your scheduled time. If you book an online appointment, log back into WCOnline at your scheduled time, click on your appointment, and launch the online consultation from the pop-up screen.

If no appointments are available, we also welcome walk-in clients, though we do prioritize assisting those with officially scheduled appointments. Also, you can add your name to the daily waitlist, which is found under each day of our schedule. If another client cancels an appointment, you (and others on the waitlist) will receive an email notification. From there, you can book the newly available time.

A.I.M. Sessions

In addition to traditional writing tutoring, the Waterbury Writing Center now offers A.I.M. (Accountability, Intentional Work, Motivation) sessions. Based on co-working and body-doubling strategies, A.I.M. sessions provide a structured environment for you to build momentum, keep on track, and make consistent progress on your writing tasks. A.I.M. sessions allow users to:

  • Schedule dedicated time to work on writing tasks,
  • Set of build a consistent writing habit in a supportive environment,
  • Keep your writing on track with structured peer accountability.
