Welcome to UConn Waterbury's branch of WCONLINE!

UConn Waterbury Library

Please use this scheduling site to book appointments at the campus Writing Center.

If this is your first visit, register for an account (using your UConn email address) by clicking the link to the left.

If you already have an account, enter your info to the left and log into the Writing Center schedule.

Once inside, you can find an appointment using either the "calendar display" or the "appointment search" screen. If automatically dropped into the "appointment search," you can input your desired meeting time to see if any appointments are available. Follow the prompts to finish booking an appointment.

In addition, at the bottom of this search screen, you can click on "view calendar display," which will bring you to the full Writing Center calendar. In the "calendar screen" mode, all white slots of time are free to book. Click on one and follow the prompts. Appointments are booked for one hour, even if the appointment takes less time to complete. Hovering over the name of a tutor will let you know if that tutor is available for face-to-face/in-person or online appointments. You can also search for specifics using the drop-down menus at the top of the screen.

If you book an in-person/face-to-face appointment, your next step is to come to the Writing Center at your scheduled time. If you book an online appointment, log back into WCOnline at your scheduled time, click on your appointment, and launch the online consultation from the pop-up screen.

If no appointments are available, we also welcome walk-in clients, though we do prioritize assisting those with officially scheduled appointments. Also, you can add your name to the daily waitlist, which is found under each day of our schedule. If another client cancels an appointment, you (and others on the waitlist) will receive an email notification. From there, you can book the newly available time.

* Please note that the Writing Center limits all students to a maximum of 3 visits each week.

* The Writing Center also enforces a no-show/missed appointment policy. A student's account will be deactivated after three missed/no-show appointments. Any future pre-booked appointments will also be canceled. If this occurs, the account owner will not be able to log in to the WCONLINE system until the account is reactivated by an administrator. All deactivated accounts that have not been reset will be reinstated at the start of the next semester.

* The Writing Center reserves the right to mark an appointment as a no-show if a student is more than 15 minutes late (without communication on the student's part explaining the delay).
